Good write up on the installation of your spoiler

I was wondering if your rear window is any cleaner with the spoiler?

Very good how-to! It's more than likely something I will be looking into doing in the future...just not 100% sure yet, and with the drilling, it's probably something I should be sure of first!

I did not feel I needed any more spacing, but you can make them bigger if you feel you need to.

I believe my measurements and factory are pretty dead on. There is a lady at my work with an HHR factory spoiler on hers and I see no difference between hers and mine when I park next to her. Just make sure you leave enough spacing on top so it wont hit the roof when you open your lift gate.

Hi everyone,

I finished installing my spoiler even after a little ‘hick’ in the color.

First, I would like to thank Supermode for his ‘How to”. I adjusted my spoiler at ¾ from top instead of ½ which makes the screws dead center of the prefabricated 1.5 inches holes (original rubber caps).

Second, that ‘hick’ I mentioned earlier is for the fact that my spoiler was not the true Chevy HHR 2008 Cyber Metallic Gray. It has one or two tint darker. I was a little disappointed but went on with the insulation anyway. I did email the Web site but no response. One day I will have it paint perfectly. But the price is fantastic since GM was selling me a spoiler 3 times the price and not painted or installed.

So for those who want to buy this painted spoiler for your HHR, beware that you may need a paint job on this item to perfectly match you original HHR body color.

Bummer to hear about your spoiler, Rej. I would keep emailing them about it. But you're right, you cannot top the price. On the bright side you got your spoiler installed! Lets see some pics!
