Rear seat installed

Thanks for the instructions. Really helped! I found a ebony leather for $145 with seat belts and rear storage box. $100 for shipping. Very pleased. Check out my gallery for photos.

wow, that leather looks fantastic. Wish I could have found a complete leather set front and rear for my 06 2LT. I just finished doing a complete front and rear cloth cover swap from light gray to ebony.

what a difference. But that leather is sweet.

Smoke,
Was checking out your project earlier. Very nice change. I like the two tone black grey look. Nice job!

Super directions! We just got done the rear seat mod to our panel. Looks weird to see headrests in the rearview.

I just finished my transformation. I was able to sneak in the retractors by pulling out the panels just a little bit by the doors. I did not remove all of the interior panels. This way saves time, but your neighbors WILL hear you cursing loudly, and your hands will become cut and abraded. Also, starting the bolt on the driver's side retractor took a little contortion action

'09 Rear Seat Install

Great How-To, PanelMan! First thing I did to my '09 Panel. I'm not sure about previous years, but for the '09, you'll need the two-compartment storage bin that sits behind the seat when you get your seat. I had to settle for tan shoulder belts (I have Gray cloth) because the guy at the yard couldn't get the bolts for the retractors out and butchered the reels. Another guy realized these bolts were put in with red Locktite. A little CAREFUL heating with a propane torch and they came right out (don't forget, you'll need a T50 Torx socket for these). I, also, was able to sneak the retractors in without removing all the panels. In case you're a newbie like me, the full carpet is already there. After I removed the rear storage box, I swapped the locking handle from one of the lids with the non-locking glove box door. Only three Phillips screws. I got the seat, all seat belts, storage bin, cargo floor carpet, the four plastic covers for the studs that hold the front of the seat (GM pn:22733906 in gray), and all mounting hardware for $300 locally. Thanks, PanelMan, and everyone that posted with extra info.
