A good use for the foil, and another quick fix added to the database.

Holy cow! I literally did this about 5 minutes ago after finding this while I was surfing the forum at school. After about 2 years, I have a working remote again! Thanks dude!

Or Buy a New Remote Case

Another alternative to getting a new remote is to get a new case. The locksmith near me sells the cases, which include a new silicone keypad, for $9.50. Take out the old circuit board, snap it into the new case, and you're set.

Yeah! I just did the tin foil glued to the contacts too, worked great!

I previously soldered the center tab of the battery case;

cleaned contacts with a rubber pencil eraser and alcohol,

but the last fix, with tin foil glued on the contacts (w/Super Glue) made everything work!

Saved $100!

My keylessfix came in the mail today. I am not really sure how it could take 4 days to get to Ohio from Michigan, but the shipping was free, so....

Anyway, it worked!, but not immediately. I went out and manually unlocked the doors, relocked them, and it worked after that.
