Just thought of something else: forgot to hook the MAF sensor back up?

I dont know how to pull the codes.

I *may* have knocked off the MAF Sensor, how do I find it

Or you could have got your code descriptions here on this site.
https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/problems-service-repairs-42/list-diagnostic-trouble-codes-2008-2010-hhr-14259/

p.s. Since the one you listed says something about a "timing belt", I wouldn't put too much faith in it.

just curious if what I am experiencing is the same thing and maybe someone here can concur
on initial start up no noise, but if I stop somewhere for maybe 10 minutes, get back in and start, I get a horrible rattling sound on throttle. keeps going till get little higher in rpms and moving then seems to fix itself and go away.
does this sound like what you all are talking about here?
I have an 09 auto SS with 38000 miles
thanks

when you changed the tensioner, did you check your oil level, did you ensure the MAF connection is tight? look at post #1 and check to see which tensioner you have, the new style has a lot thicker head. If perchance you have the old style tensioner there is a procedure to set it correctly, but IMHO I would spend the time and money to get the new style tensioner

I bought the new style tensioner, but have yet to install it. I keep reading about if you have the old stile there might be something you have to do. Or is it just pull old style and put new style in. 2006 2.2

FWIW the MAF is the bit with electrical connections to it on the air horn. Everybody has forgotten to hook it back up after an air filter change.

I concur with the Power Train Warranty comment. Why are you messing around with your own money? You have 100,000 miles.
