2008 hhr
Hi there,
After an accident that damaged the transmission past saving (to me), I must get rid of my HHR. I should add that I’m in central Illinois. There are a few major things wrong with this vehicle.
The biggest one is that the transmission will probably need to be replaced. It does not currently go in reverse. It is also rough at lower speeds, around 20-30 mph but once you get up to 40-45, you’re fine. Along with that, one of the transmission mounts would have to be replaced. There is also an inch-long crack in the crank case. The other major problem is that the exhaust pipe and muffler are not attached to the exhaust itself, making it very loud. I hit something in the road, and that’s what all the damage is from. The broken exhaust stems from a previous welding job that did not hold.
I’d love to try and sell it as is. The interior is in great condition, and so is the body, although the body has some paint chips, clear coat peeling, etc. Would anyone even be interested in something like this? I can add some pictures tomorrow if anyone is interested.
I’d like to sell the whole thing. It’s all there. Still runs and drives. All you’d need to do is drop in a new transmission and fix the exhaust. I’d love to get $1250 for it, but am open to offers, as I need it gone fairly quickly.

Are you going to part it out? Or sell it complete as is, as per site rules you need to post a price figure!
