Contemplating a purchase
Hello there. I have been lurking here a while and have been saving my pennies. I stopped by a dealer this afternoon and test drove a 2010 HHR SS in Silver, a little over 300 miles on the car and is sold as a used GM promotional vehicle. They want a little under 20k. He printed me up a build sheet that listed Performance package J56 $895, Power Upgrade Kit $650 and (4) Wheel package $1,697.16. Bringing the configured price to over $30k. I did see the brembo calipers so I would guess it has the J56 but how would I know if the power upgrade kit was installed and the wheels looked like the standard SS polished rims. Does this sound like a good deal? Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.

Check the EPA sticker under the hood and look in the fuel door. THey are upgraded with the kit. The Fuel door will say Premium only not recomended as a stock one does.
Also on the test drive it will easily go over 15 PSI boost. The kit will make it see 20-23 PSI while stock is 15-17 PSI.
With 300 miles under $20k is a good price. Most 2010 SS were stickered at $29,000 plus.
