Hello from Upstate NY
Just checking in for the first time. Just bought a 2007 LT that my wife will be traveling back and forth to Syracuse in for the next few years. We like the car, I have driven them in the past, rented them once to go to NJ and once to Milwaukee. Both times I got 35 mpg which is really good for the size. We also own a 2001 PT Cruiser which is technically a sister to the HHR having the same designer but the Cruiser NEVER got anywhere near the fuel economy of the HHR which is a Chrysler thing. The Cruiser is in mint condition as I bought it new back in the day.
The HHR is black and we bought it right for about $3500 as it already has 115,000 miles but the condition is on a scale from poor to excellent I would grade it a good++ even though it has high miles. Hate that it is black though, tough color around here especially once the salt hits the road, the car will be white.
Plan to put some graphics on it (I own a sign shop so I will be making the graphics). I have some ideas but would certainly like to see what others have done. I am not really into pinstripes but like vintage Chevy.
We used to be GM people but for the past 15 years or so, we owned Chryslers but that was because of young kids...they are grown and now we are looking back at GM even with all their troubles. Certainly they have done some really stupid things and made some really ignorant omissions regarding design which I will address in another post over in another part of the forum but for here I just wanted to say hello from upstate/central NY.

Welcome to the site!! did you say vintage!! I love the early hot rod look of my grandfathers 38 Chevy , it was dark blue with red rims dog dish hub caps and a red pin stripe he also had a 47 Chevy four door same theme, so I pay him homage with Oldblue
