doubt it would do any harm to a bunch of ghetto folk storming your home. i think we got more guns and ammo than you think. on top of that add in those soldiers fresh from combat that come back to the "hood" to use their newly learned tactics o the street and you have a problem on your hands.

quest is correct to a point....
Someone on the "tube" media had a special about this. And showed how SOME ex-military people used their training to commit assaults, robbers, etc.
But the laughing part was, as someone had pointed out, they can't shoot and hit anything holding a guy in the "culture" stance (until they get within 8-10 feet).

They won't have to because you and quest are killin' me w/ before they'll have the chance to try. Clearly, niether of you realizes (or is willing to admit) what someone trained in the use of a carbine and well supplied with ammunition can accomplish when they know the layout of the AO vs. the aggressors don't. Add marksmanship and cover and its "advantage: defender(s)"
