Yesterday-$2.06, today-$2.26!!

Why do gas prices go down by pennies but up by dimes/quarters?

Hey Captain don't feel bad considering where you're at. In Brooklyn it's still $3.16 for 87 octane.

Peoria area this morning $2.25 and still falling, but like was said earlier the Thanksgiving travel period will probably come with an oil company reason to raise the prices right back up...but for now let it drop !!!

Central Mass is in the high $2.30s to low $2.40s range but its been a slow drop still, and yesterday the price of oil closed below $61 a barrel (and at one point was below $60)

my fear is we'll get 1 threat of a minor hurricane in the gulf of mexico and it will shoot up to $3.50 in one day !

my home heating oil price was $2.59 yesterday .....I was going to do a contract and lock it in at $2.89 but I'm now opting for a capped price of $3.09 (this means I pay the going price but never above the $3.09)....that was close !

OK did I miss something
Gas prices dropping like this did we overrun all of the middle east and take over all the oil?

It dropped another .02 from last night

Kinda suspicious, ain't it? Prices here in N IL have dropped an average 60-70 cents in 3 weeks. I'm happy they have dropped but I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore!!!

You don't know? We found oil reserves in the Gulf of Mexico. It will take up to 10 years to start producing any oil from those reserves but the markets reacted to the news anyway.

We're at $2.33 in the FL panhandle but my dad has seen it at $1.99 in St Louis. They've always had cheaper gas prices up there!
