Bottom line.......If you shoot at police there is a pretty good chance that you're going to die and more than likely you deserve it.

 

I think that pretty much sums things up...I'm not sure how it could be looked at any other way


I think the key phrase here is "if you shoot at police" Asian, Black, White, Latino, Martian, Plutonian whatever.....doesn't matter! Think the police are gonna say "Well this dude is white/black/asian/latino...let's not shoot back as hard"

Gang...it's call suicide by cop....plain and simple. It happens more and more every day and I find it hard to believe that people are shocked, stunned, saddened and surprised by what happened. This guy chose his own destiny...and had he just rolled down the window and dealt with the police matter, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

But...he chose to take off and elude the police (which is against the law), he then chose to shoot at the police (which is also against the law). What are the cops supposed to do? Would you want this guy racing through your neighborhood shooting a gun out the window of his car when your children are nearby?

The police took the proper action in my opinion. If you shoot at me, I'm gonna shoot back. And I agree with Goose...watch more COPS and America's Most Wanted while you're at it.

 

Good morning, sorry that wasn't more clear, should have writen it's never a good day for anyone to be killed in this country. And it should be politically correct to say God in this country. Not trying to cram God down anyones throat here, or imply they need god in their lives.

I think only the author (of that comment) can answer that question.

 

HHR's are evil cars maybe we should ban them. Maybe his mother shouldn't have spanked him so much when he was young and warped his brain. Maybe Paris Hiltons mom should have spanked her a few times for ripping the heads off her Barbie dolls while throwing a fit for being in time out for 5 minuets for shaving the family cat and by expressing her individuality wearing short skirts in public with the lack of panties to cover her lucky charms. Perhaps there wouldn’t be images of her crying in the back of a patrol car for repeatedly breaking the law, for driving recklessly under the influence on a suspended license. Which in her opinion shouldn’t apply to her? While putting innocent people’s lives at risk, cry me a river.

First you wanted to be clear, then you want to be Politically correct, then you`re apologetic.
Pretty clear where you stand on issues that aren`t easy to talk about.
Why not wait until the dust settles before rushing/jumping to conclusions?
That`s why we have a justice system, to hash out what really happened.
All cop shooting aren`t justified, and the don`t always turn out to be the way the initial reports say.
And Capt. is correct, he may very well have been a Believer, in the same God you want more of.
I believe God was in the car with him, and with the cop too.

The religious people want to make this a religious issue. I agree with Howdy that religion historically has created more problems and wars in societies than it has solved. If the typical WASP christian actually knew history, they would know that if it wasn't for the Roman armies and the Crusades of the middle ages, and christianity being crammed down their ancestor's throats, that they would be likely belong to some sort of the European cults of old. Wake up!!

Some want to make it a racial issue. If he was white, the blacks wouldn't think anything of it. But, a black man.... Now, it's a racial issue!!

What does either have to do with this or similar events??

The individual, a hardened criminal, chose to not only run from the police, but fire a weapon at them. The responsible police ended the matter.

One less hardened criminal to either be a threat to society or be a burden to support in jail. That's good for society!

My sypmathy rests for the HHR!!
