Nope, it was a pair of guys named Dr. Harry Coover and Fred Joyner of Kodak Laboratories.

Cyanoacrylate was an accidental miscue when they were trying to develop a new plastic for gun sights, how many other things we use were industrial boo boo's?

I wonder why Alexander Fleming didn't clean up his workstation before going on vacation one day in 1928?

(When he came back, Fleming noticed that there was a strange fungus on some of his cultures. Even stranger was that bacteria didn't seem to thrive near those cultures.

Penicillin became the first and is still one of the most widely used antibiotics.)

Or what would have become of the strange Silicone putty invented at GE during the war, all it did was bounce, stretch, and pull images off of newsprint...who'd want to buy that junk?
