That's right some were only $3500.

Depending on your clunker and what you bought it was either $3500 or $4500.

We got rid of a rusty Blazer with only 1st and 2nd gear left. The GM dealer looked up the numbers and the trade involving the Blazer for a Cobalt LT manual trans qualified for a $4500 allowance. A Cobalt SS only qualified for $3500.

We took the LT, as the SS was getting way out of our budget. Our first look while shopping around was a Hyundai Accent, so in comparison, the Cobalt LT for the same $$ is more than a step above our original expectations.

OK, finally got to see the video at home, work blocks youtube. What is really amazing is how LONG the bad azz engine runs on NO oil and half gallon of liquid glass that turns solid at 200 and something degrees.

It's a testament to the staying power of that bad boy!

Definitely sad to see it go, the vette is definitely not a clunker by any means.

That video is like watching someone have their heart ripped out while they're still alive and breathing.Just a train wreck !! Nice to see that the vette' would "not go quietly into that still night" !! It also kind of reminded of the movie A.I., where the robots were hunted down and scrapped. They couldn't "feel" but you know they still had a personallity , just like we feel some of our cars do. Or maybe it's just me. Maybe that's why I always name a new car I get.
