'09 Vue is probably cheaper now and is basically the same car. Question is whether you value resale over cost at this point.

If she can wait a few months, the new 2010 model is a phenomenal vehicle.

The base 4-cyl engine + 6-spd trans will get very good fuel economy. Even the new 3.0L V6 will be pretty thrifty.

My dad had a Torrent Which is just the Pontiac Version. Its ok, nothing to run home too.. I would wait for the 2010. Looks Killer and MPG is better then the Current model.
