I think both drive a hard point home. The US should run ads like that for the younger folks, but you can bet that there is always a lobbyist out there who would prevent it from happening.

Well, when VW was running the "Safe Happens" campaign, a lot of people complained about the violence in those commercials, so a lot of them got shifted to later time slots.

I have to say that I much preferred the "V-dubs Rock" campaign with Slash and Nigel Tufnel. Could've done without that goat roper John Mayer, though.
