When my second son was born we were in the same boat and sold our black on black 2001 MC SS High Sport for at crew cab pick-up because my wife and I both hate mini vans.

Now that they're older (we have 3) there's only one still in a booster and they fit fine in the back of the HHR SS...to get me going the oldest calls it "Dad's mini van" grrrr :)

Good luck with the new purchase and enjoy your time with the kid, they really do grow up too fast.

This is ironic because I actually bought my HHR SS with the idea of having a family soon. I had a 2-seater Silverado and needed something more family friendly, but wanted to have some fun driving it!

Good luck with the new ride. I'm sure it will get the job done!
