DCS399

URGENT - DISTRIBUTE IMMEDIATELY

Date: June 2, 2009

Subject: Re-Start of Warranty Claim Processing

To: All General Motors Dealers - United States Only

Attention: Dealer Principal, General Manager, Service Manager, Warranty Administrator

This communication is to advise all U.S. dealers that General Motors (GM) has received court approval to process and pay warranty claims/transactions. Based on this approval, the Warranty Information Network System (WINS), Global Warranty Management (GWM) for Saturn Retailers only and Saab IRIS for Saab dealers only will resume normal schedules effective Tuesday evening (6/2/09). WINS credit memos, GWM Transaction Summaries and Saab Warranty Claim Acknowledgements can be obtained through your normal processes on Wednesday morning (6/3/09).

This one day delay will only affect the posting of warranty credits to your Billing Accounts Receivable System (BARS) statement, it will not impact that actual closing or crediting of the weekly statement.

The WINS credit memo 010 will be processed on Tuesday evening (6/2/09) and credit memo 011 will be processed on Thursday (6/4/09) evening resuming GM’s normal schedule. WINS eClaim will be active by Noon EDT today (6/2/09) and claims will be received until 3:00PM for processing in credit cycle 010.

The GWM system will resume normal operation on Tuesday evening (6/2/09), which will also include any transactions held on Monday (6/01/09). The GWM site will allow input, correction and adjustment of transactions by 2:00PM EDT today (6/2/09).

The Saab IRIS claim processing cycle will be executed on Tuesday evening (6/2/09), which will also include any claims held on Monday (6/01/09). The IRIS system will allow claim submission and correction of returned claims by Noon EDT today (6/2/09).

If you have any questions, please contact your District Service Manager.
