Edit: Found this the most interesting in the article : "Earlier on Friday, the Hollywood Reporter quoted unidentified industry sources as saying Toshiba was widely expected to pull the plug on HD DVD in the coming weeks."

DO NOT BUY HD-DVD YOU WILL BE BUYING A "BETAMAX." Seven of the major Hollywood studios have officially backed BLU-RAY and are dropping HD-DVD.

Warner Bros, Disney, Lionsgate, Paramount, Universal, Fox, Sony all are now releasing exclusively in BLU-RAY.
