I have a friend who majored in sports medicine and he always claimed it was only really healthy to lose weight at a rate of a few ounces a month! I always thought that was a bit extreme, as was me losing seventy pounds in three months I ain't been right since ( Mono story in previous post ).

Lost 90 lbs when I got divorced. Have gained back 40 since. Just got involved in a wellness program at work thats showing and coaching me into living healthier. Like eating better, quitting smoking, drinking etc....

Amazing how much better I feel, and "Dead sexy baby!"

2 pounds a week is the recommended weight loss schedule.

Eased into the gym this morning with 30 minutes cardio and some weights. Man, was I sweating like a pig!! Breakfast was good though!! Eggs, with avacado, mushrooms, turkey, and a bit of cheese.

I am joining you in a different way, I'm not going to worry about weight right now I embarked on a different health journey two weeks ago today. I quit smoking and for now I think that is enough of a challenge, once my metabolism settles back down then I'll worry about the weight I will gain. As it is I'm running up and down stairs all day every day and it was getting hard to breathe, now I'm doing it at a much faster pace...:)

Chris, I wasn't sure what was a healthy monthly weight loss amount but I know what most diet plans say you'll lose is way too much. I would have asked my skinny sister, the nurse, but she would have lectured my on gaining the weight in the first place. She's never had to worry about her weight. Yes, I got the bad genes in the family. I spent the week walking through airports and I'm very sore. Guess I'll keep exercising and finally get over the soreness. I have a some dirt to move and a new flower bed to plant. If you want me, I'll be outside. By the way, it's sunny and 72 in the panhandle!

Well, Day 2 and I'm still sweating my butt off!! Bought my vitamins last night and started taking them today. Everyone wanted pizza for lunch today so I only had 1 slice and ate yesterdays leftover Ground Turkey Tacos.

Ok, so today I took the day off from the gym. However, I am so proud of myself. Today for lunch we had Pot Roast with potatoes and carrots. I actually ate the CARROTS!!!! GO ME! GO ME! GO ME! Just don't expect me to eat raw ones though
