Yeah that one suck also. It's really bad when they make a right turn out of the left lane without signaling! That happened to me not too long ago.

 

Alien, that was a good story. Too bad about the mis-shift. I really like the DQ therapy idea.

Just this morning, I was driving to an account that is quite a bit farther than I normally drive. So I decided to take the back way away from the freeway to cut some of the mileage off.

I was driving down a street that was one lane in either direction, and noticed the long line of cars going the opposite way trying to avoid the crowded freeway. I thought, 'I can't believe these people will wait in this 2 mile long line to avoid the freeway.'

I was going about 40mph in a 45mph zone and I was near the end of the traffic line going the other way. Well, about 50 feet in front of me, this woman in a black Lexus SUV decides she doesn't want to wait in the line anymore and pulls out and does a U-turn right in front of me!

My Dodge Caravan piece of crap company van with 500lbs of parts in the back does not stop on a dime. So I hit the binders and prayed that I wouldn't hit her. I just barely missed her back bumper. I had to go to the left and almost hit the parked line of vehicles to miss her. I screamed some not nice things at her and shook my fist, but did not fly her the bird.

About three miles later, when my heart rate went back down I pulled over and parked for about 5 minutes and counted my blessings that I had not gotten in an accident on my way to work.

It just amazes me how stupid people are. She had no way to see me coming, and she still did an illegal u-turn in the middle of the road.

I agree with Jim. Not only that, but you both were speeding and putting yourself and others in danger. It's not worth it. Life is too short and too valuble.

 

Everyone must remember. I'm still a pup. :) My temper gets out there quick. Whats odd is its only with stupid drivers. In any other situation someone can do something and it doesn't annoy me at all. I've just seen a few pew who have died because of people like that and I don't think its fair i guess. I actually got a back way that is less mileage it just takes about 15 or 20 minutes more. I might start taking that way again.

 

A few years ago this jerk had the brights on behind me, he cut me off, then I cut him off, then he got in front of me and slowed down at got me stuck behind him. I was unable to switch lanes and I was forced to stop, he got out of his car and started to yell at me. (We were on a highway FYI) then he punched my window. Nothing broke, he then walked back into his car. Sorry there was no way I was going to get out of my car to face this nut case. Then as he pulls away, Highway patrol comes by and guess he gets pulled over, not me the other jerk. HA HA to the road rage jerk

 

I have had a couple of incedents since driving my new HHR. I almost gto T-Boned twice and the other day I was driving and the Ford explorer in front of me slowed down and moved to the right ...thinking he was pulling into a driveway or something I was tempted to go around his left which wasnt so much since his ride was more than halfway on the shoulder..I am glad I didnt because the moron all the sudden steps on it and pulls a U Turn right in front of me (within inches) If I had tried to go around him I would have been hit for sure. i have been driving the HHR VERY defensivly because I dont want anything to happen to it. Its my first new car and haver more close calls in a month than my whole time driving (since 1983)
