Well this isn't the way I wanted my day to go, but a guy in a BMW who ran in red light this morning had other ideas. I've just gotten home from the hospital with my new crutches, an injured knee, and 10 stitches in my head.

Paddy is at Concord Auto Body with a crunched left rear quarter panel, a bent axle, a trashed rear bumper, and radically reshaped left rear door. It will be Tuesday at the earliest until I have an estimate, but it looks like he'll be back on the road before I am.

As for me, I now have a suspected torn ACL which will might require surgery, and a sliced head from breaking the driver's side window with it. I'll be on these crutches for a good while I'm afraid.

I'll be checking in here from time to time as I feel better and to let y'all know how the repairs to Paddy are progressing, I do have some pics I took before the EMS folks got there, but I don't feel like posting them right now....instead I feel like crying to be honest.

So sorry to hear this Mike. Odds are a person will have an accident or two in his/her lifetime. Unfortunatly your number must have been up.
