I'm wrecked and so is the Paddy-Wagon.

I think the big difference in damage amounts is where Calgary's HHR was hit compared to mine Andrey. All of my damage is centered on the rear suspension and the area behind the rear door, Calgary got tagged right in the "B" pillar which probably required replacing the complete side of his HHR.

I did hear today that my damage amount has grown to over $6,000 because the GMPP exhaust is kinked and will require replacement too. So far my medical bills are just about double the damage incurred by the Paddy-Wagon.

And to address Marshall's comments, only GM parts are being used and I will be keeping track of the repairs as they progress. Although I don't expect any issues after getting Paddy back, I will pay very close attention to anything that might arise related to the damage and have that addressed immediately. I'm a very picky person when it comes to my vehicles, and I never accept second rate workmanship.

Just because I wanted to see the printouts and measurements from the frame jig yesterday shouldn't in any way be regarded as me being picky....its perfectly normal.

I agree, & would have wanted to view the same.. Perfectly normal to me also..
To my wifey, well she refers to it as my OCD.. But she works in the hospital & they like to label everything..

I might be scatterbrained at times, but when it comes to my business and vehicles, its OCD all the way. Honestly I'm just really starting to feel like the cobwebs are clearing out from Friday, the concussion wasn't enough for them to require me to stay in the hospital, but in hindsight it might have been a good idea.

But I can't stand hospitals, never really could, and the injuries that left me hospitalized for months back in 2006 have just reenforced my near paranoia about spending any more time than necessary in the world of lab coats and doctors.

What ever you call the disorder, I am convinced we all 3 have the gene, that makes it easy to recognize.

Sorry to hear about your accident, I didn't see anything about this until yesterday and didn't have time to investigate it any further. I hope that you are feeling better and continue to improve with no ill side effects! Good thing that you already had a good body shop in mind. I had an accident in one of my dad's vehicles when I was 18. The insurance company gave us a list of approved vendors; it just sounded like a bunch of names. We picked one "at random" and paid for it. Ever since then I do my research and try to have a mental list of body shops ready before any potential accident. Here’s to hoping that you feel better than the day before, and for patience and sanity for those that are looking after you!

I would have to go back through my paper work to see where the big cost items were but I don't think they replaced the "complete side." I know they put on two new doors (they had the option of new door assemblies or reskinning the doors but I told them to put on new doors) and I think there was some damage to the B pillar which needed to be replaced. There was no damage to the roof which was fairly surprising. The interior door panels and the seat belt obviously needed to be replaced as well.

Maybe I'll try to find my paperwork just out of curiosity sake.
