Movie thread
Harpozep you said you've recently watched Massacre Time right? How is it? I almost ordered it along with Four of the Apocalypse but I figured I should learn more about it first. I need to get a few films by to Fulci other than the Horror and Gialli which I already have. He directed so much throughout his life.
Of his three westerns I have only seen Four of the Apocalypse and I love it. I like how it is more of a survival film/character study than a traditional spaghetti western. Massacre Time sounds awesome and a little more like a traditional spaghetti western. I think westerns are going to be my next trend in films. I need some of the classics in my DVD collection like Django, El Topo, and Leone's man with no name films.

That actually sounds like a double header I would try to make my wife watch.
She has seen Henry but hasn't seen Man Bites Dog yet. I doubt she'll get the humor of Man Bites Dog. Dark comedy at it's best. I have the Dark Sky 20th anniversary edition of Henry and it has one of the best director’s commentary tracks ever.
You collect the recent horror comics? They are often quite good . Many expand upon known properties like Leatherface, Friday the Thirteenth, etc.
Some just come out of left field and have a strength all thier own, like doc Frankensine.
A sample of some of the horror comics I collect;

Thanks for the head's up on the Henry commentary. Guess I'll pick it up on the next go round with Blu Ray/HD. Still have the LD and regular DVD. Got into DVD the day it came out and began replacing the old media.

Massacre Time is a fine enough revenge western. Slow to boil, but the payoff is fine. The Italians base about half the Spaghetti Western on the vengeance motif!
In recent years it was fun seeing Franco Nero in Die Hard 3. I had forgotten about him......
Another I liked a lot is "The Great Silence" Starring Klaus Kinski.

Bleak, wonderfully shot, and avasilable in the US.
Oh, you simply must go here for S Western info:

The two competing HD optical disc formats are both quite good.
A combo player is in the works.
I was going to sit it out, but Xbox 360 has a $200.00 add on that allows one to play HD DVD ( one of the formats ), so we got that as a logical way in. It looks absolutely wonderful on the 60" Sony 1080p LCOS SXRD set.
Blu Ray is built into the Sony Playstation 3, and it is a great player for Blu Ray, wiping out some thousand dollar players.
Interesting ways to get into HD these days.

I just found another place that says they have Anchor Bay's release of The New York Ripper in stock. It is in a two pack with Manhattan Baby. I placed an order so maybe I'll get lucky this time.
High Definition Could Be a View Too Real
A bit on HD porn! It is making the "actors" have even more surgery and or making directors shoot from different angles. Tooo funny!
Human bodies in high detail are not really something to behold!
