I haven't given up Krash, pondered on it today as we drove up to NY from NC, it has a tad of Jowett Jupiter to it....but its way too graceful. Being that its registered in France, or at least it once was, has given me a direction to ponder as we drive up to Canada in the morning.

The year was 1939, and the American builder would go on to Indy......

AHA! The 1939 Kurtis Speedster! I'm getting senile these days, or we needed this vacation more than I realized, two hints to prod my brain into remembering...I'm slipping.

That's OK. I had never seen (or hear of) it before I found it on the net. I'm not real sharp on the 20's - 30's stuff....

OK, time for another mystery car, so who can identify this snazzy two toned coupe?

Uh oh! The game is stalled again, so two hints to maybe help you out if you're stumped by the mystery car.

Hint...Its European in origin, and made before 1970.

Hint...You didn't often see these because they were hidden behind a curtain of iron.

Well, thanks for the hint. I was trying to find a Simca that didn't exist.
The semi-cute little 2-door is a Wartburg 311, from East Germany.

Bingo! You got it! I think that's probably the best looking East German car they ever built, with the smokey little Trabant 601 coming a close second. It does have a passing resemblance to a Simca, so that was a logical route to take.

You're up Sir, what's up next from the Mystery Garage?
