Well you've narrowed down the country which it was bodied in, but its as far away from a Fiat as you could get.

Are you sure it's Italian this time. Last time we had to go to Switzerland to find your "Italian" car.

Well its mostly Italian, but the heart is straight from Detroit.

Geez, have one little brain malfunction over Monteverdi and you never live it down around here.

This one's bugging me......
I've tried searches for all the Italian coachbuilders - no luck.
It looks similar to a few cars - Lancia Flaminia, Ferrari 250 GT ('58)

Hate to admit I need another clue......

OK another hint....Exotic as it might be, any American mechanic would be familiar with its engine, in fact they might be tempted to borrow some bolts from a stove.

Here's what we know so far, based on 843de's clues:
- Italian body on an American chassis
- Chevy 'Stovebolt' 6-cylinder power

The grill reminds ne of the grill on a '54 Corvette, although it's more squared off. The wheelbase seems to be about right for a Corvette. The car seems to be more of a tourer, rather than a sports car - more upright. Maybe it's based on a 'regular' Chevy chassis rather than the Corvette?
