National day of Slayer
#12
They are one of the best bands to see live, I've seen them a few times. I'll have to see if they are coming to my area on their up coming tour. My wife won't go with me to a Slayer show. But then again I wouldn't want to bring her.

They are awesome in concert, indeed. I saw them back in the day (early 90's) somewhere in Texas. That's when Metal was Metal - remember Lizzie Borden, Armored Saint, Celtic Frost, Flotsam & Jetsam, Death Angel, etc.? There's still a few great ones like Slayer around, and I know some of the others are, too. It just sucks to go to a little hole-in-the-wall bar somewhere to see these guys perform (not Slayer, though, of course - they still play some good venues).

I agree. I didn't post this thread to have anything to do with religion. I posted in honor of one of the most influential and greatest bands ever and because I am taking part in the national day of Slayer. I don't want to have this thread locked because of something JonyyB made very clear that he does't want us discussing. Not to mention he said he would ban people who want to carry on with the religious statements.

I am now switching the iPod to play all of the Slayer I have - it was playing all of my Iron Maiden, but the day is 1/2 over, and it is time to switch. Tom, Kerry, Jeff, et. al., take it away...........
