I've raced on snow, grass and water with my sleds but never on asphalt.
I remembered when NHRA came out with the rules and never did it.
These people are running the 1/4 mile.

Jetting the carbs, if you're running them, also is a factor.
I'm sure with the ECM injection today programming is a science also.
