My thoughts exactly. I just don't appreciate someone misrepresenting themselves as an adult especially when they enter into online group discussions or chats.

Then maybe instead of Member # posted under the Avatar, the AGE should be Mandatory and posted. Hell, let's include Gender too, Race too... what else can we discriminate against?????

no a refund under pressure, but a refund (and an IP ban) for a fraudulent account. I wouldn't want to take the kids money. Its one thing for a member here to participate in adult conversations and adult privileges without the site knowing...its another to knowingly allow it. It damages your sites reputation and your brand. why take chances?

Im not bashing the kid, but online interactions are dangerous...especially when things put into place for adults only access. The premium membership blurs the lines in that it passively requires you to be 18 to use paypal. I wouldn't want my kid, my students or any body else's kid taking part in adult aspects of a websites.

its like knowingly acception a fake id, or buying a kid a beer.

I'm not even asking the site to do anything about it, just speaking to perils of the situation. THere a lots of what ifs and its gets hairy for site administrators, I've experienced it myself. ITs hard to prove that someone is who they say they are, you can only use the information available to you and do what's in your brand/website/company's best interest.

This is a tough crowd Chris.
In fact, they don't, according to Alice Triplett at the Virginia MVD. Talked with her this morning. A person MUST be at least 18 years of age to register the vehicle in their name, in the State of Virginia. Also, the young man is not old enough to even possess the drivers license under Virginia law as well.

Then of course, there is the financial responsibility requirements/laws to comply with.

IMO.....another embellishment.

Nothing wrong with a "youngster" participating in the forum, just don't lie about it. We have enough of that already !!!!

No, The family site is elsewhere. You are mis-informed. I am sure they would welcome you with "arms wide open" search google for "HHR family" and click.

Paypal Agreement. Subscriptions to Premium Mebership are trough Paypal. By using Paypal, you have agreed to the Paypal Legal Agreement for service, which states, among many things, that "to be eligible for our Services, you must be at least 18 years old..."
Chris this is how, it was by your own statement that it was your Dads account, but you are the one who used it and you are not 18.
That is all.
