Ouch

Spent about 6 hours cleaning up the car yesterday. Kinda half way between cleaning and detailing actually. Of course with the heat and humidity I had to take the t-shirt off for the first time this year. Well naturally, my back looks like a lobster now, lol. But the car looks great inside and out and I ensured that rain will come today!

I did the same thing yesterday, but I didn't get a sunburn. I wake up this morning and find we are under a flood watch

Yep, last wee the wife and I headed to Funfest in Effingham, IL only to watch her get baked like a lobster! She wore those funny little capri pants so only the bottom six inches or so of her legs got burnt and the top of her feet thanks to flip flops. Blistered about two days later. And yes, plenty of rain here too.

It's done nothing but rain here. Yesterday it poured for my Underwear Race. I don't mind running in rain when it's hot but when it's cold and miserable it really sucks.

Well the rain came, and the wind, and the rain came from all directions on the wind, including up! It blew down two of my maple trees (now fire wood, 'tis an ill wind....). I watched it happen and it was like a bomb went off right beside the tree.
