Our New "OLD" Ride
Corvairs are COOL. Losta parts available.Corsa.com is a good site. Try to go to one of their yearly conventions. I went several years ago in Pontiac Mich. at the GM headquarters. We were able to visit the Heritage center.GM's private car collection/museum.Have fun with the corvair...John
Man those pics dring back some memories. I learned to drive on my fathers 1962 candy apple red Corvair Monza Spider, white leather interior, twin turbos, 4 speed. Wish I had that ride today. VROOOM.
Beautiful car!
I can see some non-stock items. Steering wheel; later model 65/66 wheel covers; later model tail lamps ('64?) My first time in a Corvair was up in your area. Was a teenager when an older cousin and her husband in San Mateo bought a new '63 Spyder convert. Probably why I was attracted to my '66 a few years later. One I wish I didn't let get away......

The steering wheel looks to be a period Grant wheel, circa 1965 or so, a very common mod at the time. The taillights are off of a 1962 Corvair, also a very common mod back then, the lights that came on the '60's were pretty plain and boring, with solid "white" backup lights....no red reflector ring. Its not a 100 point show car, but its a wonderful survivor and I'd be hesitant to "restore" it, just make it drivable and enjoyable with some new tires and a good cleaning.

.....The last time I saw my 68' Impala Jeff my brother-in-law had painted it Candy Blue w/ a Silver Flake Top, Hydralics and True Spoke Rims, haha
Thanks Again to All
