Yep. Good replacement for the ION but notice that these are vehicles that have been offered overseas for awhile. They are just getting smart and bringing them here. In this case it's a rebadged Opel

Another GM recycling job!! Nothing really new here except now we get to buy another car that's already on the market overseas. Doesn't GM undestand the concept of inovation.

Even with our precious HHR, let the bashing begin, it's just a down-sized Durango. Take a look at them pretty scarey. But then again, no real surprise when you remember that the HHR designer, designed the Durango for Dahlmer/Chrysler.

The four door version is a surprisingly good looking car. It reminds me a lot of the new Mercedes B Class, although it's probably somewhat smaller than the B.

I also really like the turn signal marker light on the sides of the car just below the side view mirrors. I think having indicator lights on the side of cars can really help reduce accidents. All European vehicles have had them for quite some time and the japanese have been putting them on lately as well. It's nice to see on a GM.

Not bashing....asking. Is Brian Nesbitt credited with the design of the Durango? Knew he did the PT before Lund "stole" him for GM. Last I heard, he was responsible for European Design Group, so he also MAY have had something to do with the Astra.

Okay I may have just been guessing on this but it does seem likely when you look at how extremely similar they are. It would not surprise me to find out he did indeed design the Durango before he left for GM and designed our HHR.

Keep in mind, though, that this goes both ways in regards to Opel/Saturn. The U.S. had the Solstice/Sky for a full model year before it came to Europe as the Opel GT. The plan is for equal sharing of models between the two nameplates. In '08, though, it'll be 2-1 in favor of U.S. to Europe: we'll have the Astra, but Europe will have the Sky/GT and an Opel version of the Vue.
