Saturn Astra
Keep in mind, though, that this goes both ways in regards to Opel/Saturn. The U.S. had the Solstice/Sky for a full model year before it came to Europe as the Opel GT. The plan is for equal sharing of models between the two nameplates. In '08, though, it'll be 2-1 in favor of U.S. to Europe: we'll have the Astra, but Europe will have the Sky/GT and an Opel version of the Vue.
Got rid of our Saturn due to GM NOT opening the dealer they promised to open near us. Plus they shut down the dealer we bought it at. Then they shutdown the next nearest dealer, standing us fifty miles from the nearest dealer.
And you have to go the their dealership for simple things like an oxygen sensor. They share a lot of parts with other GM models, but these other GM dealers are not allowed to sell the Saturn parts!
wtf: I'm talking simple repair parts and such.
Our Saturn stranded my wife and daughter several times due to the faulty O2 sensor. Local GM dealers would not even look at it as it had proprietary diagnostic couplings ( as many manufacturers do, I'm sure ).
Anyway, GM may have just put a lot of money into Saturn, but it is too late for me and my family.
Been there, done that, been burned.
We have a Chevy now in case you may wonder, and now we can vet repaired locally! That is important you know.
