Speaking of the Durango, I have had negative comparisons made to my HHR stating it looked like a 'mini Durango'...I don't think it does at all, I think it looks like a '49 CHEVY!!! And it is BEAUTIFUL!!!

I think GM needs more global platform sharing like this, we sure could use more of GM Holden rear drives in this country. I've heard alot of good things about this little opel, it should outsell all other GM small cars here once people figure out how much better it is than what's currently available.

The upcoming Pontiac G8 is a rebadged Holden Commodore SS.

It looks like it has a low roofline that slopes down near the back. I suspect that this would make it less practical for hauling bikes inside. Not for me. One of the reasons I got the HHR was for the ability to stand two bikes up inside. The only other smallish car that came close was the Pontiac Vibe/Toyota Matrix. This car looks a lot like the Mazda Wagons and hatches to me. Good looking? Yes, but not what I was looking for.

I hope that they sell lots.

I actually looked at one before i bought the HHR. If you like European this is totally the car for you. Interior is Strickly European. Fit and Finish is decent. It does have some nice features like the Flash to pass turn Signals and Ride and Handling are about as good as the HHR is.Sunroof in the 4 door is huge, i do think its unpowered also. Its only putting out 138HP and MPG is so..so

If your a Tech nut the Astra is not for you. There is no info center, nor Ipod Aux however u will need to take 10 mins to learn the Radio setup which looks more like a 4inch nav screen. Limited Cup holders, which is totally Europe (some places it illegal to Drink and Eat in your Car)

Its a decent car, i think its over priced compared to the HHR.

Reminds me of the Matrix to much. GM should rebadge the Ultra for Saturn and release it! That would be killer!

The astra is actually what I WAS looking at before I got my HHR. I needed fuel mileage and space, and with the 5-door astra, it seemed like the best of both worlds. When I went and test drove one, even with the seats folded flat and being roomier than it LOOKS like it would have been, I was unsure if everything I had to carry around would fit. Plus, even for a base model with a/c as the only option it would have cost 16,5 i believe. Some friends of mine on another forum told me to check out the HHR, and I'm glad I did, because I own one now :)
