Speed of Light

If there are any physics/sci-fi geeks on here

germans break the speed of light. Sort of, but not really. Paper didnt really have any data in it, and there is no experiment detail. They were using quantum tunneling, which means that some of the particles traveling toward the prism seem to jump the gap and instead of reflecting "tunnel" straight through. The limits of tunneling are the exact distance of the wavelength tho. 'Course i wasnt in college long enough to get the really good physics classes, more of a mind hobby so i could be wrong. What do yall think?

I flunked physics and ended up in computer science

The story Sounds interesting if they actually found a glitch in Einsteins theory.

Breaking the speed of light sounds cool, but I still wish someone could figure out the speed of dark

Does this mean I'm one step closer to being able to buy a teleporter like on Star Trek?

**edit**

Heres a much better explanation than my rambling post.

dude so over my head. BUt it reminds me of TImeline by Crichton where they give an example of quantum transporting using light in the begining. Has anyone ever read that or tied the simple experient in the book?

Will this help us to get to Mars sooner? How about Alpha Centauri???
I remember a few years ago that someone HAD successfully teleported some Atoms or Ions or something... Found this though.
