Just got home from the Hospital. They were never able to get her Heart rate to a steady 60 to do the scan today so they are keeping her again tonight to give more medicine and try again tomorrow. They are hoping to get her down to 50 so if it does spike it will still be in range to do the test.

My sister was released from the Hospital tonight. Yeah They were able to get her heart rate down enough today to do the cat scan. All results show nothing wrong. The bad thing is we still don't know what is causing her to get this way periodically Now they are going to start checking out her stomach

Thanks to all of you for your kind words and prayers

That's great news Hillsdale.

Did they send her home with one of those portable heart rate monitor gizmos, to keep a log of her heart activity for a while?

Not sure. I went up to visit her and the Hospital said she had just left. Called her cell phone and it was dead (from being in the Hospital since Sunday afternoon). Called my dad and he said he just talked to her husband. So I'm not going to bother her anymore tonight. She needs to relax and spend some time with her 3 kids. I will go visit her tomorrow and find out more.

Just an update: They declared she has an arrhythmia and she is on blood pressure medicine to control her heart rate. Since starting the medicine she has had no incidents.
Also, she recently found out that she had gall stones and yesterday had surgery to have her gall bladder removed. She is at home recovering from that now and is hoping this is the last of hospital visits for awhile.
