Are you a car nut?
Yes i am car crazy, for a while when i was younger i worked at an autobody shop for FREE. It was just for experience, well i guess not free because he then let me use the shop to work on my own car. But that ended up becoming a paying job.
So many of my fondest memories with my Dad revolved around the races, car shows, camper shows, road trips, oh, and air shows and his airplane - we used to just go and watch them take off and land for fun. It's always been in my blood but never had the car or the hubby to share it with. This has been a fun 8 months and it all started with MITZKITY.
What was your first project?

Oh yes I AM talking to you, and anyone who wants to answer this thread. We are real people here and we have STUFF to tell. Hey, I had a Focus for a while - hubby got wiped out in it on the freeway, and it was so new. Dark grey ZX3, too teensy and after that, we bought me the Vue. Saturn = Practical but BORING, and WOW the servicing REAMS you - I took it to my nice Ford dealer where hubby's Expy went. What are you doing to the Focus?
More interesting though, can you get photos of the old truck? I am SO JEALOUS, I'd be happy just handing you the screwdrivers.
This is the lounge and we get to talk about our car nut things we do... right?

On the Focus, I installed, Ero Headlights, Black out rear logo, Windshield Wiper Fluid sprayers with led lights in them,POainted the faces of his rims black, New pass side fender, he go in a wreak too, I am also going to tint his rear tailights, and possibly help him out with a body kit he has. His is Dark gray ZX3 too. We were thinking of taking off the z and 3 and naming it foucus X. I will try to snap some pics of the 52 this week! Its in pices all over his backayard but sure will...........
I am going to take pics of the 52 this weekend, My friend got into an accident with his focus and the front of it is totaled, hes okay, but dissapointed that his cars all F'd up. I will get some pics of it anyway this weeked also, I will post them on this thread.

Really hit my stride in the mid-80s when we had a new '85 Honda Civic Si, and '86 Honda Prelude. Had the cams ground on both, plus installed headers and Abarth mufflers.
Time and retirement has put an end to all that though!
Now I have to watch the $$$ more closely!
Yeah, I guess that's why the HHR is so great. It has its own "I'm cool" look to it BUILT IN - and I guess with a 4 cyl, who really cares what's under the hood. Fuel economy is good and wow, my oil even stays good longer in this car!
But it doesn't hurt to drool... I see these old 40's cars sitting in someone's driveway or a vacant lot, with a for sale sign on it....
