YR-1 Defined...
Ok, a request was put in on another related poll.
Does YR-1 mean (to the best of your understanding),
(a) owner/driver, of a HHR during the first year, Aug.-Sept.(?)2005--July-Aug.(?)2006, prior to the next year of production, or
(b) anyone who buys a 2006 model, hence forth and forever, like I just buy one tomorrow, will I be a YR-1 owner???
And as usual, you don`t have to comment to vote, or vote either...

Do we loose a point for leap year?
I would say ownership acquisition is one's start date.
As in a warranty period, it doesn't start with the start of the model year, it starts with the day you took it home.
1st year owner, I would interpret that as owning it the first production year it was produced. Which is what your are Black Beauty, right? I believe Z-Man is as well.

It was those of us who purchased new, and experienced the probs that came with a first run production, who have earned HHR YR-1 titles. While used 06s are first run, the original owners are the ones who lived through most of the probs.
I agree, JX3. We took the risk of buying a new model and new technology. Don't think I'd even consider buying a used '06. Unless they were rental cars, there's probably a good reason the original owner traded them in.
I agree. If it was manufactured as a first year run, that makes it a first year. Now mine was built in 2005 although it is a 2006. Does that make it a pre-schooler?
