I was trying not to be rude. Never did say "stupid".

Every shop charges what they charge there is no standard "GM Service price schedule". Your telephone works just as good as mine does, and every GM service department has a phone. And somewhere in this thread somebody said how much they paid. I have a gimpy leg, so I resent people asking me to do their legwork, sorry.

What is the square root of 81, I'm too lazy to open my math book and look it up? Did that ever fly?

The truth is out there. Just look for it.

So that's why while looking for bad wiring the other day I could not find the automatic transmission dipstick to check the fluid level on my 2006 2.2 LT

Hello Jbman,

Would you like for us to contact the dealership you'd like to work with and inquire about the price associated with transmission service? If you're interested, let us know.

But, that was your question, in a thread about DIY trans service. You wanted to know how much your local (unnamed) GM dealer charges for a service on some (unnamed) car. The answer is: whatever the dealer charges. None of us are in charge of that.

Oh, and as you pointed out, I did give you an honest answer while trying to make a point. You just didn't read the last sentence the first time through.

Much editing has taken place.

jbman, sounded like a simple question(I would like to know also) to be answered by those who have had it done by a shop or dealer. Donbrew seems to interject a little arrogance into most of his replies I've noticed.

It does require fluid & filter change at 50K for extreme duty, or 100K normal use.. This info is listed in the Owners Manual also..
