I am not in Tallahassee right now. I think the cheaper bearing will last as long as I need them. The car already has 115,XXX miles. I can do myself when I have a heated are. I am in Minneapolis right now. It has been below zero most days lately. Who are you using in Tallahassee? Thanks.

Well, just replaced the hubs on my 2011 lt and I'm still getting a bad left front abs/hub on the scanner. I think I may have damaged the wire leading into the car and the hub was actually fine. This happened when I swapped springs from factory to the canucks. The spindle dropped and was completely supported by the wire connected to the abs sensor. Ever since then I'm getting the abs/hub message. Any ideas from anyone?

Is there an easy fix? Or am I going to have to splice and either solder a new connection on? Is there a way to see exactly where the damage done to the wire is?

Thanks for the quick response.

You stated everything. You have to find where it's broken, then splice it. I would be guessing that a pin or 2 in the connector got yanked out of it's spot.

Thanks Don. I'm going to pull the wheel off again tomorrow and start looking at the connection.

Well, found a cut in the wire leading from the fender well behind the driver side strut. I used butt connectors and used heat shrink on the abs wire connector and still did not fix the error codes. I think I may just have to give in and take hhr into a local shop.

Did you try disconnecting the battery to reset the ECM?

Yes I disconnected the negative terminal from the battery for about 10 mins with no luck.
