Lower control arm problem
Lower control arm problem
Left front lower control arm rear bolt that goes thru the frame just spins. The blind nut inside the frame let loose. Im guessing a hole has to be cut into the frame to get at it and a nut welded back in. This happened a couple of years ago and its been tight enough but it really wasn't torqued and now it clunks going around corners and while braking. backing up it makes the noise as well. The bushing is probable gone in the LCA. Anybody ever tackle such a problem?
Interesting. I'll get it up on jack stands and take a closer look. That's really nice to know. thank you. I figured I'd have to take it in to a mechanic, but i think I'll tackle this one myself. thanks again. I have the Moog replacements on it from about 4 years ago. One ball joint didnt last 1 year on the drivers side, so I replaced just the ball joint. After struggling with it for quite some time I decided to remove the LCA and thats when the bolt just spun.
