I follow the DIC thingy and change it myself, keeping record in the back of the owner's manual. It's the easiest oil change you'll ever do, except finding ramps to fit the SS.

As I have side before when it reads CHANGE OIL SOON ! That works out to about 8000 to 8500 miles on how I drive it.

Im overdue at 4500 miles as I change at 3000 miles with Mobil 1.

I use Mobil 1, usually change oil beween 5 and 6,000 miles, or around the six month time. The oil life indicator is interesting to watch, but I change oil regardless of its claim. I just have the local dealer change, it, using my oil, buying a filter from the dealer, and having them change it is under $20.00, so its not worth my while to mess with it, IMO.

I change spring and fall..... that's about 5000-7000 miles. I use Pennzoil Platinum and AC filters. DIC reads about 20%
