Just a quick warning - I recently forked over $450 to RockAuto for much of my suspension replacement parts but the sway bar bushings were WRONG. They offered ACDelco part #45G10046 as the FE5 choice (mine's a 2010 SS), but the mechanics didn't even need to take them out of the bag (they're bagged inside the ACDelco box) to see that they're entirely too small for the large sway bar in the SS.

I just submitted a request for refund, but haven't had time to research part numbers to see if it was just a mis-boxed item or if their part number really is bad.

Struts, mounts, seats, stabilizer bar links and shocks were all good numbers (at RockAuto, anyway).

Well that's interesting. The SS sway bar is actually supposed to be the smaller of the bars in the HHR line. 23mm on the SS vs 25mm on the others.
I'm confused now if the bushings you got were too small, then what are they for ?

Curious indeed... I don't have calipers to accurately measure these - I guess I could try with a ruler.

FWIW, the GM part number that's below the ACD number is 19326592.

I suppose that the sway bar could have been replaced by the previous owner (it was involved in a front-end collision), but kind of doubt it. The car has 62,xxx miles on it now (has clunked since buying it at 57,xxx miles).

** WOW - measuring the diameter of the hole looks like 16 to 17mm ... clearly too small even if it IS the smaller of the sway-bars for HHRs. (we'd be looking at the diameter of the hole, right? ) * *

Yep.
Easy way to measure the sway bar diameter is with an open end wrench. Measure on a straight portion on the bar, not in a curved area.

Strange that ACD part won't come up for a fitment!

Found that number #45G10046 on the AC Delco parts site. Shows it to be for 11 models of Cobalt and HHR's. 2008-10.
Guessing someone at Rock auto must have thrown in the wrong ones.

10389617 is the part number for the bracket that holds the OEM bushing and swaybar in position , just in case y'all want to ditch the polyurethane greasable and you tossed them.

Part number 13 in the diagram in this link

doh- THERE'S the part number (referring to OldBlue's post) -- I didn't realize that the swaybar bushing might be on the list of "those aren't really the the right part-numbers" parts like the LCA's are. Phooey. Thanks OldBlue! Better late than pregnan--er, NEVER.
