I would think it would come up at my chevy dealer were I get my oil changed.
Why?

Sorry for the confusion, the letter I was thinking of is for the electric power steering motor.
My bad, my apologies

I bought my HHR used last year.
What was this letter from GM covering.
I'd like to find out (somehow) if my 2007 GT1 was involved in this or how I can find out and IF it has been corrected.

You probably would have to go to site that supports whatever a 2007 GT1 is, this site is about HHRs.

I don't know what "this" is that you are talking about.

If you are asking about GM recalls on a particular car try this link: https://my.chevrolet.com/na-chevrolet/recalls

This questions IS about my HHR - it is the GT1 model.
You must have overlooked the first sentence where I stated "I bought my HHR last year".
The questions was about a post in THIS thread that "Old Blue" said; "Did you receive a letter from GM about the ESC motor?"
I was wanting to know what the letter was about and what it said; and what if anything I should do
Sorry you couldn't follow along

I have never heard of a HHR GT1!! They come in LT, LS & SS I have been around this site since 2008.

Sorry, you must have gotten a one off.

This thread has nothing to do with power steering, oldblue had a brain fart he said in #12.

Try this link: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gm-r...tension-50057/

Irregardless
The point is GM sent out some kind of letter about a problem - I wanted to know WHAT it was about and what it said.
Simple as that - no need to get into a snit. Thanks for the link

As far as the Model; You are right it is an LT1 (not GT as I mistaken said). But the build sheet shows about ALL the LT2 items the LT1 didn't have was special ordered as "add-ons" except running boards. It has about everything including the specialty suspension; leather interior; leather wrapped steering wheel; driving lights, 2.4L engine; and has a manual transmission
WHY the guys just didn't order a LT2 I have no clue.

I don't see any snit. You asked a question about power steering in a thread about Electronic Stability Control, and misidentified your vehicle. You should understand when confusion ensues. Your post seems more confrontational than donbrew's. Hope you find your answers in the thread that he linked to for you.

Because 2LT didn't have a manual trans? Made a special order.

The only 2007 GT1 I could think of was maybe a Porsche.

I hear ya - my bad for confusion.
The car dealers told me other than the running boards and the mirror with the compass on it he couldn't think of anything the car didn't come with - and I wish it had the running boards.
I thought I got a good deal on it for $5,200 out the door with only 55,000 miles and not a scratch anywhere. Looked showroom new inside and out.
Love the smooth ride and the radio that automatically adjust it's own volume the faster you drive. That's cool.
