I just started it and drove it out to my mancave to work on it. It runs on all 4 cylinders, the "service traction control" light is gone/off, and code 0353 isnt in the OBDII reader anymore. Just the 0303 and I erased that and it didnt come back. No check engine light either. It's going to have all the connections cleaned and that spring checked out. It was 100% humidity the other evening. It's close to 90% humidity right now and light rain showers. More than likely a connection issue. Does anyone replace ignition coils as part of regular maintenance? I mean is 209k on these coils operating on borrowed time?

Make sure the coil connectors are fully seated. You should hear an audible "click" as they lock in.

They can look fully seated but not be. They are very sensitive to being fully seated. Once I had a problem similar to yours (didn't have traction control or ESC so no Service traction or ESC message) where one cylinder appeared to die every so often. I had pulled the coil connectors and I had not fully seated the connector on one cylinder until the click. Pushed it in harder until click, no problems after that.

All the symptoms returned today. New coil and spark plug. Less than 5 minutes of work and we're back on the road again.

With or without those symptoms?

Okay, all the symptoms returned from post number 1 and the new coil and spark plug fixed it. Put about 20 miles on it today and it runs great.
