Spark Plug Boots?

Ordered up new plugs and last time I replaced the boots too. Is this necessary? I mean it ain't squat but an insulator, spring and pin for the most part.

And yes AC Delco iridiums. I try to stay all AC Delco. Really can't go wrong with OEM. And third party ain't what it used to be with the massive Chinese assault on 3rd party part quality. Even moog has some stuff made there. (I'm sure AC Delco does too.)

The little bugger just turned 200K
TIA.

I don’t think the boots require changing, just clean them and lube with dielectric grease
