I believe your Golden Teal to be code 14U Teal Blue Metallic
2007 Chevrolet All Models Colors of Touch Up Paint
so was your sticker replaced? or the glove box door?
Does that vin match the windshield VIN tag?

From https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gene...nt-code-60106/
find that rpo number that is the "manufacturers code" then you have to find out what the waxxx code is from a place like here: 2007 Color Codes - GM Paint Cross-Reference that is the real color code. That's where the SDR comes in.
They used to put the actual color code on the RPO sticker, everything on the internets will show it to you. The HHR is different.
A good paint store would have a color matching machine, like Home Depot has.
According the chevymgr in post #38 https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gene...nd-8427/page4/
Everbody that says it is the number after WATER BASED is wrong. It is the code near the end of the string with a "U" (for upper,2-tone will also have an "L") on the end. Then take that number to the chart above to get the WA number. The only problem is the years on the chart seem confusing.
This may have changed sometime in 2006-2007. But, all GM paint has been water based since 1981 (the era of peeling paint).
FYI: the "WATER BASED" is a statement for C.A.R.B.

Went back to Finishmaster. They fiddled and faddled and finally came up with a "tinted" can which, to their immense credit, they let me have for free. I came home just in time for the start of a three-day rainy period so I won't be doing any spraying for a awhile. I DID test spray a sheet of white paper with both the original can and the tinted, replacement can and am much encouraged; it would seem from that limited sample that the new product is going to be MUCH closer to the original paint. I am not looking for perfection on a 12 year old daily driver - just a match that doesn't embarass me every time I look at it.

Conclusion:Failure
Well, I'm done. The "new" paint is worse than the last. This batch is too light, while the original was dark. The job is mAde more difficult by the fact that the chip guards are now installed on the car, requiring masking, etc. Compounding my problem is that I goofed big time, sprayed a little heavy and got a run. So...
I have decided to hit it with some sandpaper, try to get rid of the fun, tape it off, prime and hit it again with the original spray can. The heck with it. It is a twelve year old daily driver and it is going to have to be good enough. My mental health is at stake, here.......
Gonna shop for snow tires.......

I haven't found one yet who will even admit they CAN do this, let alone that they WILL.
