The NAPA I worked at sold them for around $150 retail. And as I said in your other post : just what damage could a piece of plastic do in the sump? No reason I can see to spend money getting it out.

Timing chain price
I got two kits one was $97. Other was 92.00 plus valve cover gsk and timing cover gaskets another 30 bucks or so next time I'll know about the guide and won't worry about it.

I ordered the front chain guide separately, GM part number. It came sealed in a GM wrapper and the part had “Cloyes” molded into it.
The front guide that came with my Cloyes kit had GM and the GM part number molded into it.
They appeared to be of identical material but the designs were slightly different, with the gussets arranged slightly differently. Nothing meaningful in my estimation.
