Finally home, what a great weekend...I took a few notes, learned a few more lessons and will apply this knowledge to the next run...The HHR was a bit lighter on the way home, must have been something about not carrying the 68 door prize packages, a majority of the goodie bags (we made sure that the hotel staff was given goodie bags for their involvement) and trophies...
The demo installs went well, it was kind of interesting making the adjustments necessary with the rain on Friday, but HHR Boutique made it workable providing their awning as some protection...
Saturday's weather was incredibly cooperative and we ended up with a beautiful day, the rain prior moved everyone's detailing into game time and then there were so many door prizes that we lost a bit more game time, but the Bean Bag game was successful, the Hot Wheel track got some use and I made some experimental passes on the creeper before other duties saved my sorry out of shape self from the plungers !!! (Lesson learned was not to have so much to do on show day!)
We missed a few of our core group, I know that at least three were held by storms around the Chicago area and the resulting work responsibilities, but as is the norm we had a fantastic time with the old group of friends and added a few more great, new folks...If you ever have the opportunity to meet Hillsdale (Dayton and Chris), Iceman (Ted) Donbb (Kathy and Andy), TCStoy (Tony and his son Matt), Big_Gun (Rick) or Shaginwagon (Grey and Angel) take it, as they are all super people and I hope that they will remain connected with us as friends...I was even lucky enough to accost a really nice couple in the hotel bar after being told that there was an unidentified Teal HHR spotted in the hotel's front parking lot. After just a couple of minutes we had another show participant and club member...Of course the old group, Deerman, Oldschoolfreak, Father57, Nson, Z-Man, TomsHHR and Stevflo were there as always, supporting, working and making the event a blast !!! My son even left a Rage Against the Machine concert in Milwaukee and drove the two hours over to the Dells, arriving at 3:30 Saturday morning to grab a couple of hours sleep, shoot some excellent pictures and drive the four hours home, to go to work Sunday...Thanks Case... A bit of juggling classes and we were able to create competition while keeping each class balanced enough to give everyone a trophy and the only ones I had to take home were the two that Sinister was fortunate enough to win...
I would like to thank the forum for allowing the exposure for this and all runs and events, the club members and others for their work leading up to and work during the event, my wife for her understanding and support and for being a total badass (my apologizes for the expletive, but those of you who know her, you realize that there is no statement that fits her better) and to everyone who joined us to honor the wish of my great friend, Z-Man...He asked for more time with the friends that he made at the first run and he and his family made great sacrifices to join us and make this run an incredible time...Thank you again my friend !!!
For those of you who feel that pictures are a necessity, be patient...in a short time there will be enough pictures to satisfy all... but for me, pictures can not show the enjoyment of the time that I was able to spend with this amazing group of people...
I will have a trophy report tomorrow and hopefully my pics will find their way here as well...

Well everyone
We made it home from the Dells. We left the Dells at 1:15 and arrived home at 7:00 PM, I had to follow the little Black in color Honda Element all the way home but once we hit Illionois we were busted up due to the Traffic, I will tell you One thing Stubby met and Stood in front of a Orange in Color HHR at the Trading Post in the Dells and made contact with the Female owner she was from Illinois and about 1 hour from the Z's house We gave her Da Z-Man's HHr Business card with the site and hope to hear from her very soon. PIc's of her and Stubby will be coming soon. I am feeling better now but I would like to thank every one who attended this event at the Dells, My wish came true . I made a comment from my Heart on Aug 12 2006 when I met everyone and I never expected this to be so big. I am So happy about this past weekend my Family and I can only say Thank you , I have not been with my family on a vacation in 13 years, and every one made plans to attend this past weekend, Thank you all for a Great Time and Steve Thanks for my new Hair Doo.
