Sounds like more than I can do this Saturday!

I'll see what's what. If it don't work out, it don't work out. It about a 6 hour drive from here. But then again I do like to drive. Don't have to take Bonnie with me!

Maybe I should start by getting a smaller run at St. Louis International Speedway and use that as a stepping stone for something bigger. Maybe a time & Tune on the 1/4 mile to start and then work em to death for the oval.

Anyone have any ideas for a charity to approach?

I have a feeling that the national isn't going to be an chevyhhr.net event anyway from the way that discussion was going. It may never evn happen.

I'd be willing to bet if we did it right we would still get folks from all over the counrty.

People if we want a National we will have a National...Here is a secret I was in attendance at the National Street Van Association 1976 Bolwing Green Nationals 10,000 street vans and nearly 60,00 people, the largest of that type of gathering in history. A National you damned right we can do a National !!!

Gdzhhr, if you want to put together a charity run why not ask if any of our members has contact with a charity, such as a child being helped by the Muscular Dystrophy Association, or contact the owners of the track and make them the offer of our HHRs and the abilitiy to produce funding through a Show and Shine and track usage to benefit the charity of the track owners choice...Since we are not on the grounds of a religious institution we can have a 50/50 drawing which is always a popular fund raiser, we could actually take some of the door prizes and offer them via a raffle for which you could buy tickets, there are plenty more ideas...

If we did this similar to the way it was done at Bristol, while we would be the group running it, it drew groups of all kinds. Vette clubs, SSR's, Gold-Wings.....

Ours would do the same, plus be a showcase for out group and the HHR! It wouldn't be limited to just HHR's though the show/shione and those activities would. We would be the one running the charity event. There were people running the track non-stop at Bristol and with St. Louis being a bigger city, and more central, I would think that it would end up being a bigger event.

Pat makes a good point......does anyone here have a relationship with a charity?

Hey kids with the time and resources that we are bringing to the table for the Big Run '07 we are almost running national event. We will have this run in evey automotive magazine with an event bulletin board, I have mentioned a vendors' area, we can hit some big time sponsors and the pro-builders and rock this sucker. We can discuss some of this at the fall run if you are interested...

Like Oldschool said were a little crazy, Why not ask all the HHR owners in the Regions to meet up at the St Louis Speedway give us a date & Time and we can all ask them as a Huge Group. What do you think of that, How many HHR's do you think you will get. They will have tosay Yes and if not it would be a Great Ride I know its 5 hrs from my house.
