We gonna get Eric drunk?lol That does sound good though. the hotel we stayed at in Auburn Hills had abar/lounge/restuarant in it, and we went down there for a couple hours after we checked in and had 5 or 6 beers.

This schedule is in NO WAY set in stone, but we wanted to throw some ideas out and hopefully get some feedback. As always, weather will be a deciding factor on some activities. We're thinking of day trips to three West Michigan Coast cities: Grand Haven, Saugatuck, and Muskegon -- overnight lodging will be less expensive in the Grand Rapids/Holland areas, as I'm sure the lakeside towns jack their rentals up for the season. (We can provide accommodation information.) I've tried to provide websites and pricing information where available.

Thursday, July 8 – Grand Haven
Those able to come early afternoon -- meet at public beach
Those arriving later, meet for dinner/drinks/circulate/information
Walk the pier to the lighthouse (and get ice cream on pier)

Friday, July 9 -- Saugatuck
Dune Ride ($17) (www.saugatuckduneride.com) or Boat Cruise (www.saugatuckboatcruises.com) ($16)
Shopping/Walking Tour of Historic Downtown Saugatuck-($5)
Dinner
Lakeshore drive to Muskegon -- drive-In Movie at Getty (www.bigscreenmovies.com)

Saturday, July 10 -- Muskegon
Great Lakes Naval Memorial and Museum Exhibits ($14), with a tour of SS Silversides
(or spend the day at Michigan’s adventure)
White River Lighthouse in Whitehall (www.whiteriverlightstation.org) it’s climbable!
Scenic Cruise on Port City Princess (www.portcityprincesscruises.com) ($20)
Dinner
Berlin Raceway (www.berlinraceway.com) Late Model Summer Spectacular: Late Models-100, Pro Stocks-25, Young Guns-15, 4-Cylinders-15/20. ($12)

OR:

Silver Lake (Dune Rides/Shopping) (www.macwoodsdunerides.com) ($16)
Little Sable Lighthouse (http://www.thinkdunes.com/little-sab...-lighthouse-19)
Dinner
Berlin Raceway

Sunday, July 11 – Camp Lew, Yankee Springs, MI
11 - ?? Cookout/pontoon boat rides

Feel free to contact Lew with any questions or comments! We're excited to see you all again, and looking forward to meeting many new people!

Lew and Carolyn
Man, I wish we were available that weekend!

Those are both great options (A and B) Just beware that Silver lake is a hike north from Muskegon 1 - 1 1/2 hours and to go to Berlin from there might be a stretch. There is a sand drag strip up at Silver Lake that is a blast, everything from modified 4 wheelers to fully blown funny cars (with paddle wheels) run.

Sounds interesting. I should be able to make this. My Sister and Brother in law live in Kzoo/Mattawan so I'm over that way fairly often in the summer.
