Ok, this may be a question for ChevyMgr, but do you know if you can buy one of the plastic covers that goes over the brake light that has the 4 clips? Of course I managed to break a second clip off putting it on, and now it rattles...

usefull tip?

i am not sure if this is totally true , but i do know that a lot of things get more brittle when cold , so , it may be better to try to remove panels when they are warm , or hot. maybe let them sit in the sun for a while on warm/hot day , or even on a cold day if you must.

I would think 71 is warm enough to do it...

...but then again, I probably shouldn't be talking!

And of course this isn't a common car to find in a junk yard like my Lumina was...

Assuming the clip and broken plastic is still in the slot, just put a glob of RTV between that and the cover, the other clips will hold it in alignment while the RTV sets, and no more rattle. (Yes, I broke mine too). Easy enough to redo whenever you pull the cover off.
